We answer all your burning questions!
Scents Allure was born out of the desire to create a luxury richly scented product with a unique design that would add a touch of elegance to modern home interiors and styles. The mission behind the brand goes beyond the product itself though: we wanted to express our real selves through creativity and inspire other women to see and take advantage of the opportunities hidden in them. The idea of female empowerment lies at the core of everything we do and stand for at Scents Allure. Read about the great cause we support on our Giving Back page.

All our candles are designed and hand poured in small batches in our small studio in New Jersey. We proudly source our wax, wicks and fragrance oils from local US suppliers.
Yes! A portion of every sale is donated to a nonprofit NYC-based organization called Bottomless Closet. Their mission of inspiring and helping women in need to enter the workforce and achieve success strongly resonates with our values of female empowerment. If your candle started releasing black smoke, you have probably been burning it for too long. Extinguish it, let the wax set and trim the wick before relighting it again. A small amount of soot produced by a burning candle does not pose a health hazard or risk. Keep your candles away from drafts and never burn it close to flammable materials such as curtains. Do not disturb the flame by moving the candle while lit.
Tunneling, a.k.a. uneven melt pool occurs when you don’t let a new candle burn long enough for the first time to allow the pool of melted wax to reach the edges of the jar. It can happen to any candle! The good news is there is an easy way to fix the issue called “the foil method”. You can save a tunneled candle by carefully wrapping a piece of aluminum foil around the edges and letting it burn. The foil should cover the areas of the built-up wax leaving an opening in the center for the wick to burn.
